Job summary

Good Samaritan Society in Algona, IA is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for the evening shift. You will provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision, including vital signs, transfers, and comfort measures.

The role requires CNA certification with the State Board or current enrollment, and a minimum 16 years of age. Training, competency testing, and ongoing education are expected as part of total care delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• CNA certification required or in progress within four months.
• Annual continuing education minimum 12 hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with transfers, ambulation, vital signs, and mobility.
• Document resident interactions and care outcomes.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and dining experiences.
• Adhere to infection control policies and PPE usage.
