Job summary

Good Samaritan Society in Algona, IA is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered care during day shifts in long-term care. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and support the care plan under RN supervision.

Responsibilities include assisting with transfers, ROM, meals, and documentation of resident status. Must have CNA certification and ongoing competency requirements; experience in long-term care is a plus.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required or in process within four months.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum age 16; prior long-term care experience encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with vital signs and ongoing health observations.
• Support transfers, position changes, and range of motion exercises.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and dining experience.
• Document care and communicate changes to the nursing staff.
