Job summary

Good Samaritan in Brainerd, MN is seeking a Nursing Assistant for a part-time role on the day shift (7:00am–11:00am). This position offers 24 hours per bi-weekly pay period, with weekend and holiday rotations and shift incentives.

The NA provides resident-centered care under an RN, assisting with daily living activities, vital signs, and documentation. Requirements include MN CNA certification or in-process certification within four months.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred but not required.
• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board, or in process of certification within four months.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and recording vital signs.
• Assist residents with transfers, repositioning, and walking using proper techniques; perform ROM and passive exercises.
• Assist with meals and dining; provide water and supplements to residents.
• Document resident interactions and communicate care changes to the charge nurse.
• May collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and participate in wellness and recreational programs.
