Job summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) at Good Samaritan Society – GSS SD Desmet Ctr in De Smet, SD – provides resident-centered care under the supervision of a registered nurse. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vitals, and help maintain a safe, comfortable environment according to each resident's care plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age 16; prior CNA or clinical long-term care experience preferred.
• Must have CNA certification or be in the process of obtaining certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with transfers, range of motion, meals and nutrition, and vital signs.
• Document care and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Maintain infection prevention and PPE policies.
