Job summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves residents in a long-term care setting under the supervision of an RN, assisting with daily living activities, measuring vital signs, and supporting comfort per the care plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Minimum age 16.
• Prior CNA experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification required or in process within four months.
• Ongoing education credits required annually.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with transferring, repositioning and mobility using proper techniques.
• Record vital signs and document resident interactions and care outcomes.
• Support with meals, dining, housekeeping and laundry as needed.
• Follow infection control policies and use PPE as required.
