Job summary

Good Samaritan Society – Canistota is a 55-bed facility providing rehabilitation and senior living, located about 30 minutes from Sioux Falls. The Medication Assistant helps residents with daily living tasks and medication administration under a charge nurse, including vital signs and basic health needs.

The CMA role requires CMA and CNA certifications, with evening shifts 2pm–10:30pm, and every other weekend/holiday.

Qualifications

• Must currently have CNA and CMA certification.
• Experience as a nursing assistant in long-term care preferred.
• Must meet state requirements for CMA certification and licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under supervision.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Document care, communicate changes, and participate in wellness activities.
