Job summary

The Medication Assistant (MA) at Good Samaritan Society Cedar Lake Village in Olathe, KS provides resident-centered nursing care under supervision, assisting with daily living, vital signs, and documentation.

This part-time MA role requires CNA certification (and CMA where applicable by state). Evening shift with 16 hours weekly, located at Cedar Lake Village—assisted living and memory care. Training and ongoing education opportunities available.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred.
• Minimum age of 18 preferred.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience preferred.
• Annual competency testing and continuing education credits required.
• State CMA/CMA-like certifications may be required depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under supervision of a charge nurse.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Document outcomes related to resident care, meds, behavior, activity, and diet.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, range of motion, and housekeeping duties as needed.
• Support wellness and recreational programs and encourage resident participation.

Education
