Job summary

All American Assisted Living at Washington Township is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to administer medications under RN delegation and to assist residents with daily living activities in a caring, compliant setting.

The role requires strong attention to medication safety, accurate documentation, and excellent communication with residents, families, and the care team. CNA/CHHA/PCA credentials must be current and CMA-eligible, with a commitment to ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Must maintain a current New Jersey CMA certification.
• Must maintain CNA/CHHA/PCA certification for CMA eligibility.
• Medication administration must be delegated by a Registered Nurse.
• Ability to follow provider orders, pharmacy labels, and community procedures.
• Ability to report medication concerns and changes promptly.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to medication safety.
• Excellent communication in English, both verbal and written.
• Ability to perform tasks with physical activity and lifting as required.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Follow orders, MARs, labels, policies, and procedures.
• Verify resident identity and medication information before administration.
• Document medications administered, withheld, omitted, or refused accurately.
• Report medication errors or adverse reactions to the RN immediately.
• Observe residents for changes and report updates promptly.
• Maintain medication carts, records, and storage areas.
• Ensure secure storage and infection-control compliance.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living as needed.
• Communicate professionally with residents, families, nurses, and coworkers.
• Complete orientation and required trainings.
