Job summary

Friendsview Retirement Community in Newberg, OR seeks a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to support residents’ health and happiness under physician orders, working with our nursing team to ensure medications are passed accurately and compassionately.

Full-time evening shifts include every weekend and holiday rotations. The role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail in electronic health records, safety, and resident confidentiality. Experience as CMA preferred; Oregon license required.

Qualifications

• Licensed CMA (Oregon State Board of Nursing).
• CPR/BLS Certification.
• Food Handler's Card (or ability to obtain before Orientation).
• Weekend availability.
• DHS background check, drug screen, and reference checks.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. (I-9 documentation).
• HIPAA compliance and resident confidentiality.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

As a Certified Medication Aide (CMA), you’ll play a key role in supporting residents’ health and happiness. You’ll work under physician orders and alongside our nursing team to ensure medications are passed accurately, safely, and compassionately.

Your day-to-day includes:

Administering medications and treatments in accordance with facility policies

Maintaining accurate electronic health records (we’re tech-friendly and value attention to detail!)

Building real relationships — listening, communicating, and supporting residents and families

Promoting safety, infection control, and residents’ rights — always

Assisting CNAs and nurses with light nursing care activities as needed

Contributing to a positive, supportive team culture.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a licensed CMA (Oregon State Board of Nursing) who brings:

Compassion, reliability, and a genuine love for working with older adults

Basic computer and English communication skills (verbal + written)

A willingness to learn, grow, and bring fresh energy to a caring environment

Previous CMA experience preferred (1+ year)
