Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing as required
• CPI certification within 90 days of hire preferred
• Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse license required
• Strong problem solving, conflict management and customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Regularly performs duties of professional nurse including assessing patients' condition, developing and administering patient plan of care, documenting care and evaluating outcomes
• Oversees specific unit personnel to ensure safe, cost-efficient nursing care
• Coordinates patient placement within unit and authorizes overtime for direct patient care needs
• Oversees workflows to ensure timely admission and discharge
• Participates in unit-based projects and collaborates with medical staff to coordinate patient care
• Provides direction to staff on sensitive/complex issues and handles complaints
