Job summary

CALRegional in Vallejo, CA is seeking a part-time Clinical Medical Assistant Skills Assistant to support medical training programs. No teaching experience required, and the role runs 8–10 weeks with evening/weekend options, great for supplemental income.

You will assist in labs, reinforce course material, and help students meet learning goals while maintaining professional standards and using up-to-date clinical knowledge.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a related field.
• Familiar with A&P, Medical Terminology, Basic Pharmacology and Medical Math.
• Front office experience.
• Back office procedures: EKG, Urine, Vitals, BP, Temp, Injections, Adult-Pediatric, minor wound care.
• No teaching experience required
• Energetic and able to deliver instruction passionately
• Ability to mentor students and uphold program standards
• Comfortable with computers and technology
• Current CPR certification

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated part-time Clinical Medical Assistant Skills Assistant to join our team.We are interested in candidates who are looking to work for a company that is passionate about changing lives and helping build the essential workforce! The Clinical Medical Assistant Programs run for 8-10 weeks.

• Schedule: Tuesday: 3:45 PM to 5:45 PM; Wednesday: 2:45 PM to 5:45 PM; Thursday: 3:45 PM to 5:45 PM.
• Location:Vallejo, CA

Duties & Responsibilities

• Aid student learning through exemplary instruction by following an established course outline.
• Aidin student learning outcomes.
• Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter area and effective teaching/learning strategies.
• Maintain appropriate standards of professionalism and conduct.
• Aid all required skill labs with the Lead instructor.

• Back office procedures EKG, Urine, Vitals, BPs, Temps, Injections, Adult-Pediatric, minor wound trays, and bandaging experience.
• No teaching experience required
• Must be energetic and able to deliver instruction passionately.
• Ability to mentor students and hold them accountable to program standards.
• Comfortable with computers and technology.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Current CPR certification.
