Responsibilities

• Assist with receiving, logging, sorting, counting and processing specimens.
• Prepare specimens for technical testing and preserve sample integrity.
• Retrieve samples for add-on testing and prepare batches for reference lab testing.
• Perform waived laboratory procedures after training and competency documented.
• Maintain organized records and filing of requisitions.
• Stock inventory and keep a clean, safe work area; dispose biohazard materials properly.
• Provide customer service tasks such as answering phones, printing results, and paging staff.
