Job summary

UNC Health in Raleigh, NC is seeking to prepare patient specimens for analysis and provide technical support for a clinical service. The role features a Monday–Friday 3PM–11:30PM schedule and full-time onsite work.

Responsibilities include consulting with providers, troubleshooting equipment and workflow, and assisting in teaching. Education: high school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. This is a non-state employment position with UNC Rex Healthcare.

Qualifications

• None required professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Consults with healthcare providers regarding specimen suitability and instrument checks.
• Troubleshoots equipment, procedure, specimens, reagents and workflow issues.
• May assist in teaching students and staff.
• Monitor daily operation of a clinical service or program.
• Participate on teams or handle special projects/assignments.
• Perform specimen processing with quality control and equipment maintenance.
