Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Child Swim Instructor for private lessons and group training at Seven Bridges Fitness Center in Woodridge, IL. This per diem role offers afternoon hours (4pm–8pm) with duties including lesson design, safety, and customer service.

Responsibilities include setting up and cleaning the area, supervising participants, and coordinating substitutes when needed. Applicants should have CPR cert and a minimum of two years of high school completion.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of two years of High School.
• Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association within 90 days.
• Ability to read, exchange information with customers, and perform basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the age of participants.
• Designs and implements safe, age-appropriate exercises for children and provides excellent customer service.
• Gathers and organizes supplies to ensure a safe class.
• Responsible for setup and cleanup of the teaching area.
• Assists in developing, planning, marketing, and implementing classes and events for the group exercise program.
• Monitors and adjusts intensity levels; answers parents' questions about aquatics and land classes.
• Keeps up with new techniques and training in aquatics.
• Attends staff meetings and training; stays informed about available programming.
• Covers or substitutes assigned classes; subs a minimum of 6 times per year.
• Follows policies related to instructing children's aquatic programs.
• Maintains a safe aquatic environment by enforcing pool rules and constant supervision.
