Chess Wizards is seeking enthusiastic, reliable instructors to join our after-school enrichment program in Bend, Oregon. If you love chess and enjoy working with elementary students, this is the perfect side-hustle.

Lead fun, interactive chess classes for 10–15 students using our structured curriculum. Teach fundamentals, promote sportsmanship, manage a lively classroom, and travel to local school sites with schedules typically in the 2:00 PM–5:00 PM window on weekdays.

Qualifications

• Experience working with groups of children in educational, recreational, or mentoring settings.
• Ability to lead a class independently and create interactive, friendly sessions.
• Professional, positive, kid-friendly demeanor.
• Strong grasp of chess fundamentals and ability to explain moves and basic tactics.
• Reliable transportation and ability to drive between locations.
• Availability weekday afternoons, with 6:00 PM–7:00 PM start times.
• Commitment to safety protocols and supervising students.
• Strong punctuality and time-management skills.

Responsibilities
