Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Queens is seeking a Lab Technologist - Chemistry for a full-time evening shift. You will conduct automated and manual tests to support diagnostic and therapeutic decisions in a 24-hour laboratory environment.

Responsibilities include STAT and routine testing with strict quality controls. Requires NYS licensure, a Bachelor's in Medical Technology, and at least two years of lab experience; new grads are welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology is required.
• Current Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York State Education Department is required.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a clinical laboratory setting; new grads are welcome to apply.
• Board certification (ASCP or NCA) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a variety of automated and manual tests to gather data for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
• Perform both STAT and routine testing in an accurate and timely manner.
• Maintain attention to quality control standards and troubleshoot instrument issues.
• Utilize the Meditech LIS for data entry and testing performance.
