FlexStaff is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technologist for the Chemistry Department at a leading hospital in Queens. This full-time, direct-hire position offers growth within a dynamic professional environment.

The role requires NYSED licensure and at least one year of full-time laboratory experience. Night shift runs 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM with rotating holidays and weekends, with responsibilities across quality control, methods, and specimen handling.

Qualifications

• Must hold NYSED permit as clinical laboratory technologist, cytotechnologist, or histotechnologist.
• Minimum of one year of full-time laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a program of quality control and participates in quality assurance.
• Advises staff on appropriate methods and techniques.
• Oversees ordering and maintenance of laboratory supplies and equipment; prepares media and reagents.
• Prepares labels, packages, and standardizes laboratory media and reagents; records results.
• Prepares work orders for laboratory repairs.
• Assists in developing and revising laboratory policies and procedures.
• Conducts tests and complex analyses.
• Designs and maintains charts, logs, and other records.
• Testifies in court or other proceedings as an expert witness.
• May prepare correspondence and narrative/statistical reports.
• May participate in or supervise proficiency test programs.
