Job summary

FlexStaff is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technologist for the Chemistry Department at a leading hospital in Queens. This is a part-time role, working 21 hours per week with night shifts from 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM, and multiple start times.

The ideal candidate holds a NYSED license/permit and has at least 1 year of full-time clinical laboratory experience. Responsibilities include ensuring quality control and collaborating with staff to maintain accurate laboratory processes.

Qualifications

• Valid NYSED clinical laboratory technologist, cytotechnologist, or histotechnologist license/permit.
• Minimum 1 year full-time technologist experience in a clinical lab or blood bank.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a program of quality control and participates in quality assurance.
• Advises staff on appropriate methods and techniques.
• Oversees ordering and maintenance of lab supplies and equipment; prepares, labels, and standardizes media and reagents; records results.
