Job summary

Great Lakes Cheese, Inc is seeking a Grinder to maintain the proper blend of cheese products on the production floor. You will coordinate with supervisors, read blend sheets, and ensure accurate ingredient tracking and labeling throughout shifts.

Responsibilities include sample collection for QA, sanitation, and assisting training as needed. A fast-paced environment with safety practices and GMP adherence is expected.

Qualifications

• Operate hand held computer and PC controls.
• Work with minimal supervision and solve problems.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Use handheld scanners and SAP in daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Production Supervisors on production order add-ons and changeovers.
• Read blend sheets and follow instructions to standardize blender.
• Scan ingredients and record batch numbers on blend sheets.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by verifying oldest ingredients.
• Collect blender samples for lab/QA analysis and keep area clean.
• Unplug grinder when plugged and train new employees when requested.
