Job summary

Great Lakes Cheese in La Crosse, Wisconsin is seeking a Grinder Helper to assist the Grinder in maintaining the proper cheese blend. You will read blend sheets and follow the instructions to standardize the blending process.

Candidates should be capable of standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and complying with safety policies. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred, along with good communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read blend sheets and follow instructions to standardize blending.
• Scrape mold from cheese and deposit mold into detained product tubs.
• Maintain good housekeeping in work areas and grinder office.
• Support Slurry and Grinders and coworkers when available.
• Fill out paperwork completely including name, line number and products ran.
• Sanitize production lines at start up.
• Adhere to safety policies and GMP as part of the Safe Quality Food program.
• Meet quality and value expectations per our SFQ program.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the manager.
