Job summary

Great Lakes Cheese, Inc. is seeking a Slurry Operator to maintain proper blends of dry and wet ingredients in a fast-paced cheese production environment. You will follow production orders, coordinate with supervisors on changes, and ensure accurate batch records while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

The role requires basic manufacturing knowledge, ability to read production reports, operate SAP systems, and safely use hand-held scanners and forklifts. GMP and safety policies are a must.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Ability to make minor decisions based on standard practices.
• Ability to read and prepare production reports and production worksheets.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with supervisor on order add-ons, tie outs and changeovers.
• Follow production orders.
• Use inventory reports to identify oldest ingredient batches.
• Set up powders for groups and operate powder handling system.
• Safely operate tow motor in close quarters and maintain a clean work area.
• Adhere to GMP/Safe Quality Food program and company safety policies.
