Mercy, a Sisters of Mercy facility in Belmont, NC, seeks a Charge Nurse to implement care plans for residents and provide high-quality clinical services while supervising CNAs, NAs, and HHAs on duty. This role requires leadership, clinical expertise, and a compassionate approach to resident care.

The position involves administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring safety protocols. Shift is 3 pm-11 pm, with every other weekend, and includes an on-site work environment with

Formación

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with valid state license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, preferably geriatric or dementia care.
• Experience supervising or delegating care to others.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsabilidades

• Provide person-centered care focused on wellness, comfort, and dignity.
• Administer medications and treatments according to professional nursing standards and policies.
• Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and condition changes.
• Supervise, delegate, and educate CNAs, NAs, and HHAs on duty.
• Assist Sisters with daily living activities including dressing, bathing, grooming, ambulation, and meals.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, infection control, and end-of-life care practices.
• Coordinate and accompany Sisters to medical appointments and therapies.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate updates to the Clinical Manager.
• Participate in staff orientation, training, and continuing education.
• Support Activities and Enrichment programming for Sisters.
