Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Grove City, OH is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician for a full-time 40-hour week on the evening shift (2:30 pm–11:00 pm). The role supports pharmacists with sterile and non-sterile compounding, medication packaging, and inventory control, under direct supervision.

Qualified candidates will have high school diploma, Ohio Board of Pharmacy registration, and a willingness to advance knowledge; prior technician experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active Pharmacy Technician Certification.
• Ohio State Board of Pharmacy registration.
• Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish a working identity with our Pharmacy Team and continue to build upon our culture.
• Preparation of sterile products (including chemotherapy) using aseptic technique, in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Preparation of non-sterile products (including hazardous medication), in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Facilitate medication dispensing via Automated Dispensing Cabinets on our patient care units.
• Assists in the dispensing of orders/prescriptions through our pharmacy inventory system.
• Assists in inventory control by processing our daily Pharmacy Department order; assuring proper stock rotation, storage and appropriate expiration dating. Escalates medication and non-medication orders to the Purchasing Team.
• Assists the department with proper billing of patients and other units.
