Job summary

Bayview Rehabilitation at Scalabrini is hiring a Certified Medication Technician for a part-time 3pm-11pm shift. Daily pay offered. You will administer medications, observe residents, and assist with daily care under licensed staff guidance in a 120-bed Sub-Acute/Long-Term Care setting.

Requires valid Medication Technician certification and CNA/CHHA credentials, with prior CMT experience. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential to ensure safe, accurate care.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Medication Technician/Aide Certification in the state of employment.
• Must also be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA/HHA).
• Previous Certified Medication Technician experience required.
• Experience administering oral, topical, optic, ophthalmic medications, and subcutaneous injections required.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to follow clinical instructions accurately.
• Ability to work effectively with multiple residents in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications safely and accurately per orders and policies.
• Provide medications via oral, topical, optic, ophthalmic, and subcutaneous routes as allowed.
• Observe for responses, document; report changes or adverse reactions to nursing staff.
• Assist with basic resident care under licensed staff supervision.
• Ensure medications are stored, secured, and accounted for per procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation of medication administration and care activities.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to promote resident-centered care.
