Job summary

Bristol Glen in Newton, NJ is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to administer medications safely, follow state rules, and work under RN guidance. Part-time evening shifts are available.

You will check blood sugar and administer insulin per care plans, monitor resident responses, document outcomes, answer questions from residents and families, and receive and store incoming pharmacy orders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current NJDOHSS-approved Medication Aide certification.
• Current and active New Jersey CNA certification.
• Preferred: Previous experience in long-term care or assisted living.

Responsibilities

• Give residents their medications safely and on schedule, following state rules and RN guidance.
• Check blood sugar and give insulin when a resident's care plan calls for it.
• Watch how residents respond to their medications and document it accurately.
• Answer questions from residents and families, and flag anything the nurse needs to know right away.
• Receive and store incoming pharmacy orders.

Education
