Job summary

The Salvation Army in Dallas, TX is seeking a part-time with benefits position for the TX-CPC Social Services Center. The role involves supervising clients in a residential substance abuse treatment setting, monitoring activities, and assisting in crisis intervention to support stabilization and morale.

Hours are 2:00 PM - 9:30 PM on Friday through Monday. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and at least one year in security or social service work preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
• One year experience performing security or social service work preferred.
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provides daily supervision, monitoring, reporting, and technical support services to clients in a residential substance abuse treatment environment.
• Performs crisis intervention counseling when needed.
• Works with individuals and groups to develop life management skills.
• Facilitates an emotional and physical environment conducive to enhancing positive client morale and stabilization.
• Reports pertinent information to the Director of Social Services.
