Job summary

Sevita is seeking a Caregiver to join Mentor Community Services in Bloomington, IL. This full-time evening position runs Tuesday through Saturday, 3-11 pm, and pays $19.45 per hour.

You will support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, assist with personal care, and help participants engage in community activities. You’ll work closely with a mission-driven team, see participants progress toward goals, and contribute to a stable care environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Skills: Communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, time-management.
• Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal hygiene and daily living activities.
• Support participants with developmental goals like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
• Help participants be part of the community and enjoy activities.
• Develop real, meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve.
• Take initiative to provide safe, respectful care and follow care plans.
