Job summary

Niles Way Senior Living, part of Certus Healthcare, in Ohio, is hiring a Resident Assistant to deliver compassionate daily care to residents in our community. You will assist with personal care, mobility, social and recreational activities, monitor vital signs, provide companionship, and help implement individualized care plans.

The role includes a five 8-hour shift pattern with an every-other-weekend rotation and flexible options (PT/FT/PRN).

Qualifications

• Experience in caregiving or healthcare preferred.
• Knowledge of dementia care practices is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities including personal hygiene, social and recreational pursuits, and mobility support.
• Monitor and record vital signs to ensure health and safety of residents.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a caring environment.
• Help implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
• Engage residents in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within resident living areas.
