Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System in New York, NY is seeking an Evening Shift Assistant Nurse Manager for the Cardiac Cath Lab. The RN leader ensures quality patient care and staff coordination in the unit, with or in the absence of the Nurse Manager.

BSN is required; Master's in nursing or a health-related field is preferred. Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience with supervisory background is coveted. ACLS and BLS certifications are required for this role.

Qualifications

• BSN is required; MSN preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Current NY RN license; ACLS and BLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing practice using Relationship Centered Care.
• Demonstrate proficiency in PHR and model expected behaviors.
• Ensure integration of PHR into clinical activities.
• Assist in validating staff rounding by observation and feedback.
• Assess staff competency in PHR and provide feedback.
• Conduct rounding of all patients daily when Nurse Manager is away.
• Communicate patient experience and staff engagement information to the team.
• Collaborate with the physician dyad and expedite concerns as appropriate.
• Follow up on patient concerns and provide service recovery.
• Support a safe, therapeutic, and patient-centered care environment.
