BSN is required; Master's in nursing or a health-related field is preferred. Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience with supervisory background is coveted. ACLS and BLS certifications are required for this role.

About This Role

The Evening Shift Assistant Nurse Manager for Cardiac Cath Lab is a Registered Professional Nurse who serves as a clinical leader in the daily operations of the unit, ensuring quality patient care delivery alongside or in the absence of the Nurse Manager.

What You'll Do

• Lead nursing practice using the tenets of the Professional Practice Model of Relationship Centered Care.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Purposeful Hourly Rounding (PHR) and role model expected behaviors.
• Ensure integration of PHR into clinical activities to enhance Relationship Centered Care.
• Assist in validating staff members' rounding on all patients by direct observation and feedback.
• Assess staff competency in PHR and provide meaningful feedback.
• Conduct rounding of all patients daily when Nurse Manager is away.
• Communicate patient experience and staff engagement information to the team.
• Collaborate with the physician dyad and expedite concerns as appropriate.
• Follow up on patient concerns in a timely manner and provide service recovery.
• Support and lead a safe, therapeutic, and efficient patient-centered care environment.

Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; Master's in nursing or health-related field preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years clinical nursing experience; Charge Nurse/supervisory experience preferred.

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current RN License in New York State.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
