Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking an Evening Shift Assistant Nurse Manager for the Cardiac Cath Lab. The role leads nursing practice, oversees patient care quality, and supports the Nurse Manager in daily unit operations.

The position requires an NYS-licensed RN with BSN and at least 3 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a Cath Lab. ACLS/BLS certifications are expected, with a focus on patient-centered care and staff development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; Master’s preferred.
• 3 years minimum clinical nursing experience; Cath Lab experience preferred.
• Licensed as a registered nurse in New York State (NYS RN).
• ACLS and BLS certifications required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads nursing practice to promote patient experience and Relationship Centered Care.
• Performs Purposeful Hourly Rounding (PHR) and ensures staff competency in PHR.
• Rounds when Nurse Manager is away and communicates patient experience scores to the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Collaborates with physician dyads and escalates concerns as appropriate.
• Monitors patient safety, quality metrics, and leads quality improvement initiatives.
