Job summary

King City Gardens (KCG) in Wilmington, OH, is seeking a Lead to manage production operations, directing a team of up to 20 staff and ensuring safety, quality, and on-time output. You will coach staff, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement with strong Excel data-entry skills.

The role is full-time, on-site, with benefits after 30 days, including health, vision, and dental plans, plus employee discounts. Shift is Monday–Friday, 4pm–1am, in a regulated cannabis facility.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role with direct reports.
• 2+ years of experience in an assembly or production environment.
• 1+ years of experience in training or coaching.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data entry and reporting.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team of up to 20 people.
• Strong communication skills across all levels of management.
• Ability to de-escalate workplace situations quickly and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production activities while ensuring team members follow PPE, GMP, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Coach, train, and hold employees accountable for meeting production quotas and quality standards.
• Monitor team performance, provide corrective action when needed, and report underperformance to the Supervisor or Manager.
• Train new hires within the assigned production area and support their development.
• Oversee packaging operations to ensure products are packaged accurately, efficiently, and according to quality standards and production goals.
• Accurately enter daily production data and maintain required spreadsheets and reports.
• Communicate closely with the Production Value Stream Supervisor regarding goals, performance, quality, equipment, materials, and staffing.
• Help troubleshoot production issues and keep workflows running smoothly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
