Job summary

University of Minnesota Duluth is seeking a dedicated Building and Grounds Worker to perform custodial tasks under supervision. You will follow detailed instructions, operate cleaning equipment, and maintain safe, clean spaces across campus facilities.

The shift is 2:00pm to 10:30pm, Monday through Friday, with eligibility for retirement benefits and a defined pay range. Candidates must be able to lift 50 pounds and understand English instructions; background checks apply.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand verbal and read written instructions competently in English.
• Able to lift 50 pounds to shoulder height with or without accommodation.
• Follows safety procedures and uses protective equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform general custodial work in university facilities as directed.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, floors, and common areas.
• Report building problems through maintenance requests.
• Set up furniture for university events.
• Assist with campus security duties as needed.
