Health Network Laboratories, LLC in Allentown, PA is seeking a Lab Technologist – Blood Bank to perform high, moderate, and waived testing within the Blood Bank using SOPs. You will work independently with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate results.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in medical technology or related science and CLIA-based high-complexity testing credentials.

Qualifications

Must meet CLIA 88 personnel requirements for high complexity testing.
Bachelor’s degree required in medical technology or related science field from an accredited institution.
Certification by a recognized certifying agency (ASCP, ASMT, NCA, etc.) preferred; certifications may be required in specialized areas of the laboratory.

Responsibilities

Accurately performs high, moderate, or waived laboratory testing in the assigned testing division per SOP.
Recognizes and corrects instrument malfunctions and documents troubleshooting.
Verifies and reports test results independently; monitors results for reasonableness and critical values.
Interprets data and assists physicians in interpretation of test results; participates in quality control and CSI activities.
Provides orientation or training to new employees. Prepare/collect specimens as required.
