Job summary

Centurion Health in Joliet, IL is seeking a full-time Behavioral Health Technician for the Graham Correctional Facility to support mental health treatment in a correctional setting.

You will participate in weekly treatment planning meetings, provide therapeutic programming, crisis management, and education on daily living activities, while assisting with records and telepsychiatry support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a social science is required.
• Two years or more experience providing activities programming for patients with serious mental illness is preferred.
• Competencies with Excel sufficient to create, maintain, and update scheduling databases.

Responsibilities

• Participates in weekly multidisciplinary treatment planning meetings.
• Implements interventions for patients in a correctional mental health setting.
• Provides therapeutic support services, including treatment-focused programming, psychosocial groups, crisis management, social rehabilitation, and leisure activities.
• Provides formal education to patients in routine activities of daily living (hygiene, eating, recreation, etc.).
• Maintains records and data management pertaining to mental health treatment and scheduling of patients.
• Supports telepsychiatry services operations as needed.
