Job summary

Centurion Health is hiring a Behavioral Health Technician for Graham Correctional Center in Hillsboro, IL. The role involves providing therapeutic support services and leading treatment-focused activities in a correctional mental health setting.

The position supports multidisciplinary treatment planning, records maintenance, and telepsychiatry operations. A Bachelor's degree in social science is required, with two+ years of relevant experience preferred and CPR/AED certification current.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a social science required.
• Two years or more experience providing activities programming for patients with a serious mental illness preferred.
• Competencies with Excel sufficient to create, maintain, and update scheduling databases.
• Must maintain current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR/AED certification.
• Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic support services, including treatment-focused programming.
• Lead psychosocial groups, crisis management, social rehabilitation, and leisure activities.
• Provide formal education to patients in routine activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Assist in preparation and maintenance of records and data management for mental health treatment and scheduling.
• Support operation of telepsychiatry services as directed.
