Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician for the Graham Correctional Facility in Hillsboro, IL. This full-time role supports mental health treatment in a correctional setting and requires coordination with a multidisciplinary team.

The position emphasizes crisis management, therapeutic programming, and data management within a secure facility, with a 12pm-8pm schedule, Tuesday through Saturday.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Social Science required.
• Two years or more experience providing activities programming for patients who have a serious mental illness preferred.
• Competencies with Excel to create, maintain, and update scheduling databases.
• Must maintain current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR/AED certification.
• Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Participates in weekly multidisciplinary treatment planning meetings and implements interventions for patients in a correctional mental health/healthcare setting.
• Provides therapeutic support services, including treatment focused programming, psychosocial groups, crisis management, social rehabilitation, and leisure activities.
• Provides formal education to patients in routine activities of daily living (hygiene, eating, recreation, etc.).
• Assists in the preparation and maintenance of records and data management pertaining to the mental health treatment and scheduling of patients, including support for telepsychiatry services.
• Performs all duties as assigned by leadership and Centurion policy and procedure, as well as IDOC Directives and SOPs.

We are currently seeking a full-time Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at the Graham Correctional Facility located in Hillsboro, IL.

The Behavioral Health Technician participates in weekly multidisciplinary treatment planning meetings and implements interventions for patients in a correctional mental health/healthcare setting. Behavioral Health Technician responsibilities include providing therapeutic support services, including treatment focused programming, psychosocial groups, crisis management, social rehabilitation, and leisure activities, as well as providing formal education to patients in routine activities of daily living (hygiene, eating, recreation, etc.). Behavioral Health Technicians, also assist in the preparation and maintenance of records and data management pertaining to the mental health treatment and scheduling of patients. This includes providing support for the operation of telepsychiatry services. Performs all duties as assigned by leadership and as directed by Centurion policy and procedure, as well as IDOC Directives, and Standard Operating Procedures.

Schedule: 12pm-8pm, Tuesday through Saturday
