Mercy in Oklahoma City is seeking an Intake Specialist for the Evening Shift to provide behavioral health assessments, crisis intervention, and referral coordination across the Emergency Department and other hospital areas.

You will work with clinical teams to ensure timely access to services, manage admissions and transfers, verify insurance, and support patients and families throughout the treatment journey.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related mental health field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of behavioral health experience.
• Licensure preferred: LCSW or LPC.

Aufgaben

• Conduct behavioral health assessments for patients in the Emergency Department, Intake Department, and hospital settings.
• Provide crisis intervention for patients and families in behavioral health emergencies.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and referrals with treatment teams and providers.
• Verify insurance information and pre-certification requirements as applicable.
• Educate patients and families on treatment options and referrals.
• Document assessments, referrals, and outcomes in the EMR accurately.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with regulations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with community resources and referral partners.
