Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Clinician for the Clinton Emergency Department, evenings, 24 hours per week. The role provides individual and group therapy to patients with mental health and co-occurring disorders, with on-site psychiatry referrals and documentation compliant with DMH, BSAS, and Joint Commission standards.

The position requires a Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling and licensure eligibility (LICSW/LMHC/LMFT).

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited graduate program such as Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, etc.
• License (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT) eligible.
• Demonstrated strong communication, organization, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual & group therapy to patients with mental health and co-occurring disorders.
• Complete initial assessments, counseling, group therapy, and treatment planning.
• Refer to on-site providers for medication evaluations and referrals.
• Document all activities in accordance with hospital, DMH, BSAS, and Joint Commission requirements.
• Manage caseload with consultations, collateral contact, and follow-up on missed appointments.
• Maintain licensure and credentialing required for the role.
