Job summary

Coachella Valley Behavioral Health in Indio, CA is seeking a Behavioral Health Associate for the full-time evening shift to support patient care in a state-of-the-art inpatient facility.

Responsibilities include ensuring patient safety, providing a structured environment, conducting safety checks, documenting clinical information, and assisting with daily living activities and group educational sessions.

Qualifications

• Six months or more experience working with the specific population of the facility preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate urgency related to patient safety and provide excellent customer services.
• Ensure the well-being of patients and provide a positive, supportive environment.
• Conduct safety checks and ensure supervision at 15-minute intervals as needed.
• Document timely, accurate clinical information in the patient's medical record.
• Assist in providing a safe, secure and comfortable environment for patients and staff.
• Interact with patients, observe behaviors, and report observations to nursing staff.
• Assist with activities of daily living and coordinate transportation as needed.
• Facilitate educational-rehabilitative groups covering social skills and coping strategies.
