Job summary

The Camp Recovery Center in Scotts Valley, California is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Associate (Full Time) to provide personal care and support for adults with co‑occurring disorders. Responsibilities include safety checks, documentation, and leading educational groups in a structured, therapeutic setting.

The position offers an hourly compensation range of $25.00–$26.00 with DOE, full benefits, and opportunities for professional growth within a 74‑bed inpatient/outpatient facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months or more experience working with the specific population preferred.
• CPR and de‑escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate urgency related to patient safety and provide excellent customer services.
• Ensure the well‑being of patients and provide a positive, supportive environment.
• Conduct safety checks and ensure supervision at 15 minute intervals as required.
• Document timely, accurate clinical information in patient records.
• Assist in providing a safe and comfortable environment for patients and staff.
• Interact with patients, observe behaviors, and communicate observations to nursing staff.
• Assist with activities of daily living and daily care tasks as needed.
• Record vital signs and measurements and document in patient records.
• Facilitate educational and rehabilitative groups addressing social and living skills.
