Job summary

Lakeview Center in Florida is seeking a Behavior Health Technician to support counselors and nursing staff in residential, inpatient, day/evening, outpatient, and community-based programs. You will help clients access resources, perform daily activities, and build pro-social relationships while ensuring safety and well-being.

Requires a high school diploma or GED, CPR/CPI training, and the ability to pass required background checks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One (1) year of experience in a behavioral health setting preferred.
• Must be able to obtain CPR certification.
• Must be able to complete CPI training.
• Must be able to complete 20 hours of required CCA training.
• Must be able to pass Human Trafficking training within 60 days of hire.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work across multiple behavioral health programs as needed.
• Background screenings and valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Establish positive helping relationships with clients.
• Assist clients to perform activities of daily living and access resources.
• Ensure health, safety and well-being of clients.
• Implement interventions according to treatment plans.
• Monitor and document clients' progress.
