Job summary

A local park district is seeking a Barn Coordinator to support riders and ensure safety at the Equestrian Center. This part-time role requires practical equine experience and a capacity for customer service. Responsibilities include supervising lessons, caring for horses, and maintaining facility organization. The role offers a starting salary of $15.50 to $17.00 per hour for work on Tuesdays and Thursdays. A GED and a valid driver’s license are preferred, along with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years practical experience in the equine field.
• Minimum 16 years of age; preferably 18 years.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Park District and assist patrons at Equestrian Center.
• Supervise volunteers and students under Equestrian Manager.
• Provide safety and ensure proper procedures during lessons.
• Care for horses including feeding, medicating, and monitoring.
