Job summary

UJA-Federation of New York is seeking an experienced, hands-on Audio Visual Technician to support conference centers, meeting rooms, executive events, and special programs. This role delivers exceptional service to internal and external clients, including senior executives and VIP guests.

The second-shift position runs 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM with occasional longer hours or Sunday shifts to meet event needs. Strong AV skills and customer service are essential in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent AV experience.
• Excellent communication and white-glove service.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Hands-on AV skills with projection, monitors, audio mixing, and cabling.
• Experience with Zoom, Teams, and videoconferencing.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and ascend ladders.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily audiovisual support for meetings and events, including setup, operation, and breakdown of equipment.
• Deliver white-glove service to senior executives, board members, donors, and VIP guests.
• Consult with organizers to determine event AV requirements and recommend solutions.
• Operate videoconferencing platforms such as Zoom and Teams.
• Troubleshoot AV, videoconferencing, networking, and room-control systems during events.
• Perform routine maintenance and coordinate repairs or replacements.
• Respond promptly to service requests with professionalism.
