Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of assigned areas. The role involves performing janitorial duties, operating cleaning equipment, and following daily schedules.

Qualifications include no specific education requirement with 3-6 months training preferred; forklift certification may be required. Bilingual a plus and familiarity with safety procedures are valued.

Qualifications

• Education and/ or Experience: No specific education requirement, 3-6 months training or experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: May be required to have a valid drivers license. Completed all safety and task training certification. May be required to be forklift certified.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Bilingual a plus; ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents; strong verbal and written communication skills; knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment; upkeep and care of cleaning equipment; knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals and their safe use.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties.
• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Stop at risk behavior of others and self.
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees.
• Maintain clean work area.
• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules.
• Take direction and respond to supervision.
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner.
• Fill in during staff shortage.
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items.
• Use proper personal protective equipment.
• Present a professional appearance and conduct.
• Understand customer service and satisfaction.
• Understand reporting systems, and of the environment.
