Job summary

Cordant Health Solutions in Indianapolis, IN seeks a self-motivated Automated Chemistry Lab Technician to support laboratory operations. You will analyze biological specimens and operate automated chemistry instrumentation on a Monday–Friday, 4pm–12:30am schedule.

The role requires a 4-year science degree, lab experience preferred, and strong data-entry with high accuracy. Competitive pay with a differential for night hours is offered along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field required (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Biomedical/Pre-Med).
• Laboratory experience preferred
• Data entry skills (alpha and numeric keyboarding) required
• Strong hand-eye coordination required
• Ability to work in a high-volume environment while maintaining quality and accuracy required
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, bend and carry as needed

Responsibilities

• Load specimens using automated chemistry instrumentation
• Assist with instrument calibration, QC review, and initial analytical review
• Documenting all preparations to fulfill compliance requirements
• Prepare and restock reagents and buffers as needed
• Perform routine operations including start of the day equipment initiation, verification of calibrations controls, reagents and reagent levels
• Assist with maintaining adequate inventory of laboratory supplies
• Review test results for release; document discrepancies and rectify errors
• Maintain records for specimen preparation and PHI handling
• Follow safety protocols, PPE requirements, and decontamination procedures
