Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support the anesthesia team in the operating rooms. The role involves maintaining and restocking anesthesia supplies, preparing equipment, and assisting with patient procedures in a busy hospital setting.

The technician will ensure anesthesia carts and machines are ready, replace gas tanks as needed, and participate in monitoring and safety procedures throughout perioperative care.

Qualifications

• One year anesthesia technician experience in an operating room in an acute care hospital setting preferred or one year in a critical care or stepdown unit as a certified nursing assistant.
• Proficient in maintenance and restocking of anesthesia supplies and equipment.
• Current BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Participates as the primary assistant to anesthesia for procedures in the operating room, including endoscopy, labor and delivery, and postoperative care.
• Ensures anesthesia carts are supplied and machines are ready prior to the beginning of the surgery schedule and between procedures.
• Check[s] and replaces anesthesia gas tanks as needed.
• Assists in preparation of complex equipment and supplies for hemodynamic monitoring.
• Ensures monitoring equipment and supplies are ready and the anesthesia machine is ready for use, including troubleshooting.
