Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Main Campus is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support anesthesiologists and OR staff with sterilization, setup, and troubleshooting of anesthesia equipment. The role includes patient positioning support and exposure to diverse surgical environments.

The position operates from 2:00pm to 10:30pm and requires careful adherence to safety protocols, movement of equipment, and collaboration with a high-performing team in a world-class healthcare system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED + one year of healthcare experience, or completed Medical Assistant program
• Bachelor’s Degree in Science substitutes for 1 year of healthcare experience
• Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) within new-hire period

Responsibilities

• Stock the carts and surgical suites with required supplies per par list
• Assist with difficult airway management and equipment needs
• Deliver blood samples to the lab and retrieve blood products
• Disassemble, decontaminate and sterilize anesthesia equipment and supplies
• Report equipment problems to management and keep work areas clean
• Perform Point of Care testing after competency
• Communicate with anesthesia/OR staff to prioritize daily assignments
• Transport anesthesia equipment to/from outside ORs
• Maintain records and check order/equipment status
• Manage inventory and restock anesthesia supplies
• Prepare and test anesthesia equipment and troubleshoot as needed
• Turn over rooms to minimize downtime between cases
• Distribute equipment and medications for anesthesia as needed
