Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a qualified Surgical Technologist for the Cardiothoracic OR at the Main Campus. The role supports complex cardiac surgeries, maintaining a sterile field and assisting surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia providers.

The position requires scrub and circulating duties, setup of sterile supplies, and active participation in patient care through the surgical workflow. Night shifts with orientation provide hands-on growth and teamwork in a leading healthcare

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program accredited through CCAAHEP or ABHES, or certification as a Surgical Technologist (TS-C or CST).
• Military surgical technology training accepted; state LPN license accepted in lieu of program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scrub functions and assist in circulating functions under the direction of an RN.
• Set up sterile table and ensure supplies, drugs and equipment are available.
• Assist RN in counting sponges and instruments during surgery.
• Assist in gowning/gloving and draping of surgical team; maintain sterile field.
