Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital is seeking an Anesthesia Technician II for the evening shift (1pm–9pm). Join our world‑renowned surgical team and support Anesthesiologists/ CRNAs during induction, maintenance and emergence from anesthesia.

Responsibilities include setting up sterile equipment, assisting with regional and invasive monitoring, maintaining supplies, applying infection control, and preparing devices such as TEE scopes and LMA.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience as an Anesthesia Technician is required.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides approved assistance to Anesthesiologists/CRNAs during induction, maintenance and emergence from anesthesia.
• Assists with regional anesthesia placement and invasive monitoring devices.
• Maintains equipment and supplies to provide quality anesthesia care.
• Applies infection control and safety, including handling, cleaning, sterilizing and disposal of equipment.
• Sets up sterile equipment including IVs, central venous, arterial catheters using sterile technique.
• Sets up, operates and disassembles cell saver and rapid infuser devices as assigned.
• Ensures sterility and cleanliness of specialized equipment (TEEs, fiber optic scopes, LMA).
• Keeps workrooms clean and orderly before, during, and after each shift.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
